So what are the optimal settings for AGX as to not make me want to throw my monitor across the room? I realize they say it’s not competition for GE, but come on here…let’s be honest. The only difference is that it’s slower – even with the vector data. In the time I was waiting for ESRI’s imagery to load in AGX, I was able to open GE, go to a website to get the KMZ file I was looking for, and zoom to the location. It’s like ArcReader on a bunk batch of steroids – even local vector data loads quicker in ArcReader Ok, I’m done complaining now…. I’m just disappointed with the concept because we are moving to ArcGIS Server in the near future and really need it to run smoothly.

Better yet, label it 9.2, but set the metadata to version 1.0, so the geeks cut you some slack.

You know, I think ESRI could get a lot more slack if they just took a page out of Google’s strategy book. Just slap “BETA” on everything and the problem is solved.

I thought it performed much better then previous builds. I’m running on Vista with the stars option turned off…

I walked through it far enough to see that you also have the option of upload AGX NMF files so you can share something interactive. They just haven’t supplied any themselves.

That could be a nice feature if it works well.

OK, fair enough.

Its time to put up or shut-up. Ill submit a map or better yet Ill just submit a picture of my map.

…certainly you see the pointlessness. Dont they already do this…its called the ESRI Map Book and it is desperately provided at ever users conference, and federal users conference, and dev conference, and so on.

I would expect the opening of this site to tout something other then a jpg. Nonetheless you are right…

Are they seriously sharing screen shots? Thats interesting technology, did ESRI use “print screen” for those pics? WOW.

Not to mention the blog is off-line.

So, if by “looks nice” you mean nothing within then you are right. NEAT.
