Shiver me timbers, I be at a NJ Gespatial Forum “Parlay” all morning and not one of the yellow bellied landlubbers even said Arghh! Twas worse off then that as some scallywag had the nerve to utter the cursed word “GeoWeb” as the name for a new application beining launched by the State. I thought all was lost and we were headed for teh edge of thw world. Alas, a brother swashbuckler guided me to a safe port with edible fare and plenty-o-grog!

  11. Chris M says:

Twas a bad day at sea today. Most of the mornin’ was spent at a NJ Geospatial Forum parlay where none of the landlubbers even uttered an arghh all day. One o the scurvy sea dogs actually muttered the cursed “GeoWeb” word as the name of a new mapping application being launched by the State. I though we were all headed for the locker at until a fellow buccaneer guided me to safe harbor with good food and a measure of grog.

  12. James Fee says:

@KoS: Do Dawgs know how t’ navigate these waters ou’ west? Plenty o’ grog be loaded t’ th’ gunwhales around Tempe this weekend an’ we be lockin’ up our lasses.

  13. Chris M says:

Trice I have tried to put me message in a bottle to sea with no luck. Has been a black day most of the day. Morning was spent in a NJ Geospatial Forum parlay were non of the lanlubbers even muttered a single arrghh! This was only made worse when some of the scurvy sea dogs introduced a new web mapping application name NJ GeoWeb. With such a bad omen aboard I though we were all headed for Dave Jones’s locker until a fellow buccaneer steered me to a safe port with fresh food and plenty o grog. Now it is off to see me wench and wee ones.

@james…we will find out. Sounds like a typical night in good ole Athens. ;) (if I understood it right)

First time since the 60′s (iirr) has the team ventured that far west during the season.

Should be a good game, if ASU is fired up from their lost to UNLV.

But, I have a good feeling, out stupid offensive coordinator is going to blow it for us. His stupid play calling last week almost got the QB hurt. Stupid Bobo!! Couldn’t play QB when he was a dawg, why they think he would make a good offensive coordinator is beyond me. Grrr!!

Hopefully, ya’ll get tired of hearing….

    Georgia
    “Glory”
    (Played after a score)

    Glory, glory to old Georgia!
    Glory, glory to old Georgia!
    Glory, glory to old Georgia!
    G-E-O-R-G-I-A.
    Glory, glory to old Georgia!
    Glory, glory to old Georgia!
    Glory, glory to old Georgia!
    G-E-O-R-G-I-A.

    “Hail Georgia”
    (Played after the PAT)

Hail to Georgia down in Dixie!
Our college honored fair and true,
The Red and Black is her standard,
    Proudly it waves!
Streaming today and the ages through,
She’s the fairest of the Southland,
We’ll pledge our love to her for aye,
To that college dear we’ll ring a cheer,
All hail to dear old UGA!

hahah the fight song sounds better in pirate speak. Wonder if we can get it changed….nothing better than a southern wench., err, meant bell.

  16. James Fee says:

KoS, I think this game could really hinge on what teams show up. If both bring their “A Game” it really could be as good as the LSU game from 3 years ago (alas we didn’t win it, but it was enjoyable).

Many Georgia fans are already mingling with the ASU Friday afternoon crowd on Mill Ave. The average UGA fan seems to prefer Bud Light over some of the local brews, but maybe this early crowd doesn’t like to enjoy good adult beverages (maybe there is something to “more cheap” than “less good”).

  17. Chad says:

Why is all the Rum gone? It be because Chris M has drunk it all! ;)

  18. KoS says:

James, agreed…the key is ASU defensive line vs UGA offensive line. Whoever wins that battle, wins the game.

Interesting observation on beer interest, let me know if that pans out for the rest of the weekend. :) Not sure why the preference, beyond, there is a Bud plant about hour or so north of Atlanta.

At least they are not ordering PBR!!

Good adult beverage = Long Island, almost all liquor. The best so far, from Big Sky Montana. Enough liquor to almost take your breath away.

You know, “International Talk Like a Pirate Day” is too boring. I’d prefer “International Talk Like Yoda Day” or “International Talk Like Conan The Barbarian Day” or “International Talk Like a Ninja Day”.

That last one is a joke of course…

  20. Brian says:

Day speak you of not “International Talk Like Yoda Day”! “Day of Yoda Speak International”, it is!

  21. Peter Pratt says:

Last year I did have a great day talking like a pirate with my friends online. I did use the AV Voice Changer Software to change my real voice into many different pirate voices. It’s a great memory. I am gonna do it this year.
